The smc Pentax-FA 50mm F1.4 Classic is built for Pentax K-mount full frame cameras, but it can also be used on APS-C cameras.
The optical construction of the lens is 7 elements placed in 6 optical groups. Modeled after a 1991 film lens from Pentax, this lens seeks to mimic rainbow lens flare at wide apertures, a characteristic often found in film lenses of the era.
