The Lexar Professional 1066x microSDXC UHS-I 128GB card surpasses expectations with its outstanding performance, providing a budget-friendly storage solution. In our tests, the card demonstrated its capacity to manage images and videos from our recent DJI Mavic 3 Pro test, satisfying the requirements of action cameras, drones, and Android smartphones.
In the AJA System Test Lite, the card registered transfer speeds of 84MB/s write and 92MB/s read, which, although not reaching Lexar’s maximum claimed speeds, remain quite respectable, with the speeds no doubt held back by the speed of Apples SD card reader. These rates guarantee that users can effectively work with Full-HD and 4K UHD video and high-resolution still images.
The Lexar 1066x microSDXC card consistently excelled in use, displaying no dropped frames or issues in either the DJI Mavic 3 Pro or GoPro Hero11 Black.
A noteworthy aspect of this card’s performance is balancing affordability and efficiency. Although it features older UHS-I technology instead of the more advanced UHS-II, the card’s performance remains solid with compatible devices. The Lexar 1066x microSDXC card demonstrates that users need not sacrifice performance when seeking budget-friendly storage solutions.
Nevertheless, it’s crucial to consider the card’s limitations when using it with more demanding devices. Its older UHS-I technology and smaller form factor may not be the best choice for extended use in high-resolution mirrorless and DSLR cameras. Users might prefer a higher-end storage solution with advanced technology for these cameras.
